Official: Pitso's Al Ahly Miss Out On EPL Title
Zamalek 2-0 El Entag El Harby
Zamalek secured the Egyptian Premier League title after engineering a 2-0 win over El Entag El Harby on Tuesday night.

The White Knigths returned to their home base on the back of a 2-1 win away at Ceramica Cleopatra, and needed the first six minutes to go in front through Ahmed Sayed Zizo.

Ahmed Bencharki made the matters and subsequently the title safe with the all-important second goal, while Tarek Hamed was unable to add to the party with a missed penalty in added time.

The title is the 13th domestic title for the outfit managed by Patrice Cateron and first in the space of five years and will round off their campaign against National Bank on Friday.

El Gouna 3-3 Al Ahly
Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly surrendered a two-goal advantage to draw 3-3 against El Gouna to lose out on the league title.

Following Friday’s commanding victory at home to Al Masry, Ahly trailed very early on after Mohamed Nagieb handed Gouna the front-foot.

The African champions responded in the middle quarter of the second half from a penalty by Ali Maaloul before Hussein El Shahat added a second soon thereafter.

Substitute Mohamed Sherif Magdy gave the Cairo Red Devils a little space to breathe with the third towards fulltime.

Gouna staged a comeback courtesy of Mahmoud Shabrawy, who had come off the bench and a penalty in the dying minutes from Omar El Said handed Zamalek SC the title.
