Ramos Equals European Record, Closes In On African's World Record

Sergio Ramos has equalled an incredible European record tonight, and today has a world record around the corner, one that happens to be held by African legend Ahmed Hassan.
The Spain captain made his 176th appearance for La Furia Roja after to arrive the 85th minute within their friendly against holland tonight.
As a result, he has equalled Gianluigi Buffon's European record for the player with the most international appearances, and only five players in football history have represented their national teams more regularly.
Ramos made his debut for Spain in a 3-0 friendly against China on 26 March 2005, and may break Buffon's record on Saturday, when his country undertake Switzerland.
