him the world's highest-paid footballer. Although disappointed, Real are believed to have moved to identify new potential targets, with Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski said to be on their radar despite strong speculation linking him with Barcelona. Joining the Poland international on Los Blancos' list is Benfica forward Darwin Nunez, who has enjoyed a remarkable breakthrough campaign in Portugal, scoring 34 goals across all competitions.
Real are also reportedly looking at Tottenham Hotspur No. 10 Harry Kane after he showed his intent to leave the Lilywhites ahead of this season. Following a slow start to the campaign, the Englishman ended with 37 goal contributions in 50 games.
AC Milan's Rafael Leao and RB Leipzig's Christopher Nkunku, meanwhile, complete the 13-time European winners' reported wish list.
