'Ronaldo Is Not The Best In The World'

A famous Ballon d'Or winner has insisted Cristiano Ronaldo isn't the best player on earth, and explained how he believes the Juventus superstar still reached the very best anyway.
George Weah, the sole African player to possess lifted the Golden Ball to date, recently spoke about the Portuguese forwards, who became football's all-period record goalscorer this week.
"Ronaldo can be testimony to how merging hard work and passion may bring unexpected benefits," the Liberian legend told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"He is not really the best on earth, but he trained so very much to become the very best. I am a enthusiast of Ronaldo because he remained humble and he gained everything he achieved.
"He fought to receive where he's now."
Weah, who starred for AC Milan between 1995 and 2000, also had some phrases of compliment for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who's helping the Rossoneri challenge for the Serie A title this season.
"Ibra is strong and confident, but there is more in back of this," he added.
"Milan signed him because he could be every useful for small players. He is a good example and an inspiration for them.
"He is definitely focused and he gives everything for his interest. If you work hard and don't lose your passion, in that case age is just a number.
"Consider Pietro Vierchowood, Franco Baresi or perhaps Paolo Maldini, they all played at advanced until almost 40 years."
Ibrahimovic has scored 12 goals in just eight Serie A appearances up to now in this campaign, even while Ronaldo leads the scoring charts found in Italy with 15 strikes in 14 league complements.
