Russell to play Zeus in opposite Chris Hemsworth in 'Thor: Love and Thunder'
Hollywood star Russell Crowe has revealed that he will play the role of Zeus in the upcoming Marvel superhero film 'Thor: Love and Thunder'. The actor dropped the surprise while on a radio chat show and confirmed that he will play the Greek god in the fourth instalment of the franchise. Crowe officially joined the cast in March 2021.

His role in the highly-anticipated film was however kept under wraps. The film, directed by Taika Waititi, happens to be in production in Australia. It marks actor Chris Hemsworth's return as the titular superhero. Actors Natalie Portman and Tessa Thompson are reprising their roles of Jane Foster and Valkyrie, respectively.

Hollywood star Christian Bale will join this film as the key Antagonist - Gorr the God Butcher. The actor was recently spotted on the sets rocking a bald look, which many assumed was for the role. 'Thor 4' may also feature Matt Damon, Jaimie Alexander, Chris Pratt and Karen Gillan in supporting roles. Despite delays in the shoot due to the lockdown, the film is scheduled to release on, may 6, 2022.
