Los Blancos coach Carlo Ancelotti made two changes from the win over Rayo Vallecano as Luka Modric and Nacho replaced Eduardo Camavinga and Eder Militao, who have dropped to the bench.

The visitors took control from the onset, but had to wait until the 19th minute for the opening goal as Marco Asensio cut in from the right before firing past Luis Maximiano.

The lead was doubled six minutes later as Nacho got his name on the score-sheet with a close-range finish after a well-worked corner involving Toni Kroos and Modric.

However, Granada hit back with their first meaningful chance in the 34th minute when Luis Suarez' deflected off Casemiro and wrong-footed Thibaut Courtois.

Los Blancos nearly restored their two-goal lead when Karim Benzema latched onto a loose just inside the box, but the Frenchman saw his strike palmed away by Maximiano.

However, the visitors got their third goal in the 56th minute when the in-form Vinicius Junior bagged his seventh league goal after turning home a cross from Modric.

It went from bad to worse for Granada, who were reduced to ten men in the 67th minute when Monchu was shown a straight red card for a clumsy challenge on Vinicius.

The numerical advantage began to show as Los Blancos went on to bag a fourth goal with 15 minutes left in the first half as Ferland Mendy latched onto a pass from Casemiro before firing under Maximiano.

Granada did have a couple more chances late in the half , but Courtois produced some fine saves to ensure Los Blancos walked away with a 4-win on the day.
