Samsung to provide AMOLED Displays for iPhone 12

Samsung Display has won orders for the majority of the AMOLED displays necessary for Apple's new iPhone 12 lineup that will be rolled out in the autumn.
The iPhone 12 will come in three sizes and four the latest models of. Samsung secured orders for 75 percent of AMOLED panels for all iPhone 12 models, the DigiTimes of Taiwan reported Wednesday.
It will supply 30 to 35 million panels for the 5.4-inch model and 15 to 20 million for the high-end 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch versions.
Samsung is the world's most significant maker of small and midsize OLED panels for smartphones. It grabbed a whopping 86.3 percent share of the global small and midsize OLED panel market this past year.
It was the sole supplier of displays for the iPhone X, Apple's first OLED smartphone, in 2017, but LG Display in addition has been supplying panels for iPhones since 2018.
Originally, industry observers predicted that BOE of China would win more orders, however the Chinese company secured only a little fraction since its samples turned out to be substandard in an excellent test.
