Slack goes down: Twitter reacts to place of work communications platform going offline
Slack was straight down for five time on the first Monday of 2021, which meant professionals around the world struggled to speak to their teams.

The service cut had many time for emails and calls to get the job done.

“Customers may have trouble loading channels or perhaps connecting to Slack at the moment,” the system said when it announced the first services cut.

Five hours following the cut started, Slack said most users will be able to access the platform.

"We're truly sorry for the disruption today," it explained at 8.10pm Gulf time.

Slack also reported continuing problems with extensions such as for example Google Calendar integration, and email notifications.

It said it could release an extended statement on Monday's chop soon.

During the service disruption, communications on the desktop app simply reading: "Server error. It appears like there’s a difficulty connecting to your servers, and we’re investigating the problem."

On the cellular app, the error message read: "Couldn't send. Tap to try again."

Slack's status page reported: "Customers may have issues loading messages or perhaps connecting to Slack," as of 7.14pm Gulf period.

The cut was on the first Monday morning that lots of professionals are heading back again to work in the US, after Christmas and New Calendar year breaks.
