FC Barcelona's struggles in LaLiga continued after struggling defeat to Atletico Madrid, who were without Luis Suarez on Saturday nights.

Suarez could not face his former part after he tested great for Covid-19 and he was replaced by Angel Correa in the line-up while Lionel Messi returned to the line-up for Barca, with Miralem Pjanic replacing the injured Sergio Busquets.

The visitors were on leading foot in the first stages, seeking to penetrate Atletico's defence but they were not finding the gaps.

Diego Simeone's troops were growing in the overall game midway in to the first stanza nonetheless they too weren't carving out distinct openings.

Antoine Griezmann came near levelling matters for Barca in the last eight minutes with a great angled header that was first goal-bound however the Slovenian shot-stopper pulled off another amazing conserve.

Sergi Roberto came incredibly close for Barca to salvage at least a spot in the dying moments after his hit from the border of the box took an awful deflection that wrong-footed Oblak but his effort missed the far corner agonisingly large and Atletico held to rise to second on the log, behind leaders True Sociedad only by goals-scored ratio.
