Super Sub Extends Arsenal's Unbeaten Run
Arsenal maintained their unbeaten record in the Premier League this season after defeating Everton 1-0 at Goodison Park on Sunday evening.

Gunners manager Mikel Arteta made just two changes from the win over Manchester United as goalkeeper David Raya came in for his debut in place of Aaron Ramsdale while Kai Havertz dropped out for Fabio Vieira.

The Gunners made the most of their dominant start when Vieria threaded a pass for Gabriel Martinelli, who calmly slotted past Jordan Pickford. However, celebrations were cut short after VAR spotted an offside in the build-up. That proved to be Martinelli's final involvement as the Brazilian forward's afternoon came to an end in the 23rd minute after picking up an injury. He was replaced Leandro Trossard.

Everton, meanwhile, quite content with sitting back and defending while the Gunners dominate the ball but they barely offered anything on the counter attack during the opening 45 minutes.

The second half continued in similar fashion to the first, with Arsenal dominating the ball and finding it tough to break down the Toffees' defence in the final third.

Both coaches opted for a change after the hour mark, as Eddie Nketiah made way for Gabriel Jesus upfront while Toffees coach Sean Dyche introduced Dominic Calvert-Lewin for Beto.

The away side got the opening goal in the 69th minute when some neat passing ended with Bukayo Saka picking out Trossard, who sent a fine first-time finish into the top corner for his first goal of the season.

The Gunners nearly added a second goal with ten minutes to go when a mix-up at the back sent Odegaard through on goal, however the Danish midfielder was denied by Pickford's gloves.
