Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0 Watford

Brighton and Hove Albion maintained their winning start to the Premier League season after defeating Watford 2-0 on Saturday night.

Bafana Bafana forward Percy Tau was not included in the squad once again amid the links with Al Ahly.

Graham Potter's men managed to get the job done on home soil thanks to strikes from Shane Duffy and Neil Maupay.

Manchester City 5-0 Norwich City

Manchester City claimed their first win of the Premier League season with a 5-0 thrashing of Norwich City at the Etihad on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts got off to a lively start as the returning Gabriel Jesus opened the scoring on seven minutes with a deflected effort off Grant Hanely, although it was given as a Tim Krul own goal.

The lead was doubled in the 22nd minute through Jack Grealish, who didn't know too much about the goal as the ball deflected off him and into the back of the net.

Aymeric Laporte marked his return to the starting line-up with a goal as he extended the advantage on 64 minutes to open his account for the season.

Raheem Sterling added his name to the scoresheet in the 71st minute to open his account for the campaign before Riyad Mahrez rounded off the scoring with six minutes left on the clock.

Aston Villa 2-0 Newcastle United

Aston Villa bounced back from last week's defeat to Watford with a 2-0 win over Newcastle United at Villa Park.

Danny Inges got the breakthrough for Villa on the stroke of halftime with an acrobatic effort after being set up by Tyrone Mings.

Anwar El Ghazi then went on to give Villa a two-goal cushion just after the hour mark from the penalty spot.

Crystal Palace 0-0 Brentford

Crystal Palace remain without a win this campaign after being held to a goalless draw by newly-promoted Brentford at Selhurst Park.

Leeds United 2-2 Everton

Leeds United and Everton settled for a share of the spoils after playing to a 2-2 draw on Saturday afternoon.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin got the Toffees up and running after converting a penalty on the 30th minute, but they were pegged back 11 minutes later thanks to Mateusz Klich's equaliser.

Rafael Benitez's men restored their lead five minutes after the break, with Demari Grey getting his first Everton goal but Raphinha ensured Leeds got a point with an equaliser on 72 minutes.
