Tokyo Disney Resort to reopen on Jul 1

Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea will reopen from Jul 1 after a four-month suspension over COVID-19, its operators said Tuesday (Jun 23), as Japan little by little reopens its market, including theme parks and specialist sports.
Oriental Land said both resorts will resume businesses to a limited number of visitors who bought over the internet, reserved tickets.
The parks will enforce rigorous social distancing methods and make use of masks, while also checking guests' temperatures.
Last month, several Japanese park operators, including Oriental Land, released guidelines about how to operate safely beneath the risk of the virus.
Among the suggestions, thrill-seekers will be asked to "avoid vocalising loudly" on rollercoasters and other rides.
"Ghosts" lurking found in haunted properties should maintain a healthy length from their "victims", the rules add.
Different Disney parks, including in California and Paris have already announced their reopening. Shanghai Disneyland resumed activities in-may.
Tokyo's Disney parks shut in late February due to the pandemic swept across the world.
Around that time, Japan began to see a surge in attacks, prompting the federal government to close institutions and urge theme parks and major events to consider cancelling or perhaps rescheduling until the infections were brought under control.

Oriental Territory said it hasn't yet made a decision when to unveil a significant organized expansion of Tokyo Disneyland.
