Trump likely to pardon ex-aide Flynn: U.S. media
U.S. President Donald Trump ideas to pardon his ex - national reliability advisor Michael Flynn, who pleaded guilty in 2017 to lying to the FBI over his Russian contacts, US media reported Tuesday.

Axios and the brand new York Situations both cited unnamed sources as telling that Trump plans to add Flynn in some pardons he will issue in the final days of his presidency.

Flynn's technique talks with the Russian ambassador to Washington found in December 2016, before Trump was inaugurated, were a good cornerstone of the sprawling investigation by Particular Counsel Robert Mueller into Moscow's meddling found in the US election earlier that year.

Trump fired Flynn just 22 times into his administration.

However the president has generally claimed the investigation was a political "witch hunt" and that Flynn, a former army general and brain of the Defense Intelligence Agency, was a "good man."

In an extremely unusual approach, the Justice Department withdrew its case against Flynn in May this season, declaring the alleged lies to the FBI weren't significant and handing Trump a major political victory.

But a federal judge has demanded an additional judicial evaluate of the matter.
