US imposes visa restrictions about Chinese officials above Hong Kong autonomy
US Secretary of Talk about Mike Pompeo said on Friday america was imposing visa restrictions on Chinese Communist Get together officials believed in charge of restricting freedoms in Hong Kong.

"Today, We am announcing visa restrictions on recent and ex - CCP officials who have are thought to be in charge of, or complicit found in, undermining Hong Kong’s large degree of autonomy," Pompeo said in a statement, which didn't name those targeted.

The announcement comes in response to movements by China to impose new security legislation on Hong Kong, which prompted US President Donald Trump last month to initiate an activity to eliminate special financial treatment that has allowed the territory to remain a worldwide financial center.

It also comes at the same time of intensified US rhetoric against China in the midst of Trump's re-election campaign, in which opinion polls have demonstrated voters increasingly embittered toward Beijing, especially more than the coronavirus, which commenced in that country.

"President Trump promised to punish the Chinese Communist Get together (CCP) officials who had been responsible for eviscerating Hong Kong’s freedoms. Today, we are spending action to do just that," Pompeo said in the statement.

He said China's Communist Get together had stepped up work to undermine Hong Kong’s autonomy through the national protection legislation and by positioning pressure on community authorities to arrest pro-democracy activists and disqualify pro-democracy electoral candidates.

Pompeo called on China to honor its commitment to permit Hong Kong "a higher amount of autonomy" and added: "AMERICA will continue to assessment its authorities to react to these concerns."
