'We Partied With Snoop Dogg Under Mourinho'
13 March, 2021
A former Chelsea star has claimed that Jose Mourinho once threw a party for his Blues players, one which even hiphop superstar Snoop Dogg attended!
Ex-England left-back Wayne Bridge spent time playing under the Portuguese tactician during his earliest spell responsible for the Stamford Bridge-based club.
Even though many see Mourinho just as a disciplinarian-style football supervisor, Bridge has insisted that the now-Tottenham Hotspur boss did know how to let loose, stating that he once threw a celebration for his Chelsea players throughout a pre-season tour and Snoop Dogg was the guest of honour.
"He was good for the lads," he told Archie Curzon on The Rig Biz Podcast.
"There were instances we've had pre-seasons in America, and he's thrown a celebration. So when I say thrown a celebration, I mean Snoop Dogg's there; everyone's there.
"But you see how he treats most players and I think it's somewhat harsh sometimes."
Speaking about Mourinho's method of man-management, Bridge said this individual enjoys his previous boss' approach but does not feel it will always be effective.
"He's an excellent coach but where he's experienced a bit of trouble, at United and Tottenham, sometimes he looks like a spoilt (kid) is usually throwing his teddies from the pram.
"I don't believe he handles it that well sometimes. But it's funny to view, I love since."
