Yahsat appoints the innovative chairman and chief executive since it targets growth

Al Yah Satellite Communications (Yahsat), the satellite operator owned by Mubadala Expense Company, appointed a fresh chairman and a leader as it pursues growth prospects within the satellite broadband industry.
Musabbeh Al Kaabi, chief executive of the UAE Investments program at Mubadala, will assume the positioning of chairman of Yahsat’s table while Ali Al Hashemi is definitely the chief executive, the business said in a assertion on Tuesday.
Badr Al Olama, executive director of the UAE clusters product within Mubadala’s UAE Investments system, will also join as a plank member.
“Today’s change is testament to Yahsat’s dedication to fortify the company’s position as a robust marketplace head and globally recognised ICT champion and its own effective succession planning to build skill suitably positioned to drive the future growth of the company,” Mr Al Kaabi said.
Mr Al Hashemi happens to be the chief executive of Thuraya Telecommunications Company, the mobile satellite products and services subsidiary of Yahsat. He's also the overall manager of Yahsat Government Solutions.
Mr Al Hashemi’s appointment “is the result of Yahsat’s deep long-term succession arranging initiatives and will ensure that the business maintains its momentum on the strategic eyesight and objectives that have been at the heart of Yahsat’s transformational quest, making it among the best eight operators on the globe in just a decade of procedure", Yahsat, said.
The company's leader Masood Mahmood will join the board of directors after stepping down from his current role on April 18.
Yahsat offers integrated satellite communications to above 190 countries across European countries, the Middle East, Africa, South America, Asia and Australasia.
This past year, Yahsat commenced construction of Thuraya 4-NGS, the next-generation telecommunications system for Thuraya, which is expected to maintain service by 2024.
Yahsat’s fleet of five satellites reaches more than two-thirds of the world’s population, allowing critical communications incorporating broadband, broadcasting and mobility solutions.
