You may well be stuck at home but now Tinder lets you hook up to users across borders

As cities world over proceed through various phases of lockdown, persons residing in strange places from friends and family would miss some familiarity. With Tinder’s Passport feature, a Chennaiite stuck in Lucknow, is now able to choose potential dates from their own hometown-even if it’s only for an online date, given the circumstances.
The Passport feature, formerly open and then Tinder Plus and Gold users, was made open to all on March 26. It enables you to drop a pin in a spot of your choice to check out matches in that city.
"We hope our members, a lot of whom are anxious and looking for more human connection, may use Passport to transport themselves out of self-quarantine or isolation to all over the world," Tinder CEO Elie Seidman said in a statement.
“Now as part of your, having someone to speak to makes an environment of a difference,” says the tagline for Passport on the Go Tinder blog. Since Passport became free, Tinder has registered the best number of swipes on March 29. Indians used Passport 25 % more after it became a free of charge feature.
Tinder passport is open to all users of the iphone app till April 30.
