Zamalek Chief Sets Record Straight On Pitso?
A member of Zamalek's board has seemingly made the club's position on potentially hiring former Al Ahly manager Pitso Mosimane clear after the South African tactician recently became a free agent.

The 59-year-old is currently without a job following his departure from United Arab Emirates-based side Al Wahda last week and has been linked with an immediate return to management.

Egyptian giants Zamalek have been credited with an interest in the ex-Mamelodi Sundowns boss, although reports earlier this week suggested there are divisions within the club over a pursuit for the South African.

In quotes carried by knowledge-world1.com, a member of the White Castle's board of directors, Ahmed Soliman, has addressed the speculation once again in a television interview on the MBC Misr satellite channel, via the "Play" programme. Soliman initially seemed to suggest that their previous manager Juan Carlos Osorio's continuous travelling might not have sat well with the club, before insisting there is no truth to rumours linking Mosimane with Zamalek.

"Osorio has a private job and travels every weekend for 48 hours. This is the reason why he frequently travels abroad," he said.

"There are many things that shocked us, and we came to work and not to complain because of the very harsh conditions.

"All players, without exception, have obligations, and this season they did not receive anything from their dues, in addition to renewing player contracts and new deals and resolving the registration crisis. The technical staff continues with all support and strength.

"There is no communication between Zamalek and Pitso Mosimane, the former Al Ahly coach, and everything that is said is not true."

Motamed Gamal is currently serving as the club's caretaker manager following Osorio's sacking earlier this month, with Zamalek occupying 10th place in the Egyptian Premier League as things stand.
