Apple hires former BMW executive to advance electric car plans

Apple features hired Ulrich Kranz, a former senior executive at BMW’s electric car division, to greatly help lead its vehicle efforts, according to persons familiar with the situation.

The technology giant hired Mr Kranz in recent weeks, in regards to a month after he stepped down as chief executive of Canoo, a developer of self-driving electric vehicles.
