Erling Haaland netted a hat-trick for the second straight game as Manchester City defeated West Ham United 3-1 on Saturday evening.

The Citizens got off to the perfect start when Bernardo Silva pounced on a loose ball before playing in Erling Haaland, who took one touch before calmly slotting into the far corner. The Hammers were only behind for nine minutes when Jarrod Bowen got the byline and sent a low cross into the box, which Man City's Ruben Dias turned home while trying to clear in the six yard box.
The pendulum swung once again as Grealish was allowed to surged into the box before picking out Haaland, who took one touch before rifling the ball into the roof of the net to restore City's lead.
With City leading at the break, West Ham were forced into a goalkeeping change as Alphonse Areola made way for the experienced Lukasz Fabianski for the second period.
The Hammers nearly found themselves back on level terms five minutes into the second period when a swift counter-attack ended with Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus rattling the woodwork.
The hosts introduced Niclas Fullkrug and Vladimír Coufal in the hopes of bagging an equaliser, while Guardiola threw on Ilkay Gundogan and Matheus Nunes to freshen up their stall.
However, Haaland ended any hopes of a West Ham comeback after completing his hat-trick in the 84th minute with a lovely finish over Fabianski after being played in by Nunes, sealing the team's third straight win.
