LaLiga
Result: Barcelona 4-0 Osasuna
Date: 13 March 2022
Venue: Camp Nou
Xavi Hernandez made two changes from the win over Elche, as Eric Garcia and Ferran Torres came in for Ronald Araujo and Frenkie de Jong.
The home side got the start they wanted after being awarded a penalty for Nacho Vidal's foul on Torres, who took responsibility and slotted home for the opening goal on 14 minutes. Torres completed his brace three minutes later after latching onto a through ball from Ousmane Dembele before knocking the ball through Herrera's legs.
It was a wonderful opening 30 minutes by the hosts which was capped off with a third goal, as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang fired home from close range after some good work by Dembele.
The visitors, meanwhile, had no answer for Xavi's charges in the opening 45 minutes and failed to mount any serious attempts at Marc-Andre ter Stegen's goal.
The tempo died down after the halftime break, with the Catalans happy to just move the ball around although Gerard Pique did have goal ruled out for offside in the 55th minute.
That proved to be the final major involvement for Pique, who made way for Clement Lenglet in the 64th minute before Memphis Depay and Riqui Puig came on for Aubameyang and Pedri 10 minutes later.
Puig made the most of his opportunity after adding his name to the score-sheet a minute after his arrival with a composed finish after reacting quickest in the box.
The win sees Barcelona reclaim third spot on the table, while Osasuna will finish the weekend in 11th spot.
