Barca To Sign Man City Star For Messi To Stay?
16 January, 2021
FC Barcelona are reportedly considering signing among Manchester City’s players as a way to convince Lionel Messi to remain at the Camp Nou.
The Blaugrana are keen because of their captain to increase his contract, which expires in June, and so are weighing up special measures.
After it has been claimed that among the presidential candidates was possibly proposing to buy a Major League Soccer club, where Messi could follow another 2 yrs at Barcelona, it has been claimed the Catalan giants could lure Sergio Aguero, one of Messi’s closest friends, to Spain.
Aguero, like Messi, has gone out of contract by the end of June and may be signed due to a free of charge agent, which would be good for Barca’s stretched finances.
Despite his injury troubles, the 32-year-old still has much to provide, but possibly the biggest incentive for Barcelona to sign him is his friendship with Messi, Marca report.
The duo often share rooms when on the subject of national team duty with Argentina, with their friendship dating back again to the 2005 U20 FIFA World Cup, that they won with their countrywide side.
However, Barcelona are not the just interested side, with Paris Saint-Germain reportedly as well monitoring his situation.
The forward joined City in 2011 and has since scored 256 goals and assisted another 73 in 379 appearances for the Premier Group side, helping them lift 13 trophies.
