China Sinopharm’s vaccine has 79% protection level against COVID-19

A COVID-19 vaccine produced by a Beijing strong linked to Sinopharm includes a protection charge of 79.34 per cent against the condition, the firm explained in a statement on Wednesday (Dec 30).
Beijing Biological Items Institute said it got applied to the National Medical Goods Administration for conditional authorization of the vaccine.
The result is based on interim analysis of data from its Phase III clinical trial, however the firm did not give details including the number of infections in the trial.
