Elliot Page recalls panic attacks because of gender dysphoria

Hollywood star Elliot Page exposed about working with gender dysphoria in the height of his fame seeing that a kid actor ahead of his recent transition. Relating to Fox News, Page provided his initial televised interview since transitioning to Oprah Winfrey on Apple TV+. Through the sit-down unveiled on Friday, the "Umbrella Academy" star recalled the frequent anxiety attacks he struggled with nowadays at motion picture premieres and glamorous after-parties.
Page especially pointed to an instant where he "collapsed" in an after-party for 'Inception'. The Christopher Nolan-directed film starring Page, Leonardo DiCaprio and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, premiered in 2010 2010. Page reflected on the craze encircling the movie's discharge and said, "There is so much press, therefore many premieres all around the world. I was wearing dresses and heels to almost every single event."
Page said his manager "really believed she was first helping me" by providing him several dress alternatives to wear for the parties. However, Page nowadays recalls it do the opposite. "But we returned to the room and she was like 'I have a surprise.' I previously acquired to wear a dress I already had picked out and I went found in and there were three dresses laid out, like brand-new dresses to probably see, and I just like, I lost it," Page said.
Page told Winfrey and added, "It had been just like a cinematic moment, just like the kind of thing that might be in a video, you understand? That night afterthe premiere and at the after-party I collapsed and that was something that's happened frequently in my life, usually corresponding with a panic attack."
Regardless of the hardships, Page has celebrated his transition lately in interviews in which he expresses he's now in a position to live authentically. Talking with Winfrey, he credited the countless trans girls of color for paving just how for others and putting "their lives at risk throughout history." Page first arrived as transgender in December 2020 on Twitter.
