'I Can't Understand Why Lingard Doesn't Play For Man Utd'
17 April, 2021
One West Ham United star says he can't realize why Jesse Lingard couldn't get in the Manchester United side.
Lingard joined the Hammers from the Red Devils on loan for the rest of the season, and has been key to the side's top four push in the last few weeks.
The 28-year-old has registered an extraordinary eight goals in nine Premier League appearances for David Moyes' side, who currently sit in fourth spot.
"Jesse Lingard originated from the largest team in England and he brings something different.
"His quality is unbelievable, and I can't understand why he didn't play for Manchester United or get a chance. He's a fantastic player and I'm really pleased to have the ability to play with him.
"It is the same with Declan Rice. Declan is maybe the very best number six on the globe, but he can still improve, and he knows it.
"I am just glad I could play with them, with Tomas Soucek, with Mark Noble plus some very experienced players.
"It's been a lovely season up to now and many people are hoping it will continue such as this. Our goal is to qualify for Europe for next season and we are hoping we are able to finish the work."
