iPhone X Flops in Korea
Apple's latest iPhone X is a flop in Korea.

According to industry figures Wednesday, only 400,000 iPhone Xs were sold in the two months since its release here in late November.

Its predecessor, the iPhone 7, sold that number in just one month back in 2016.

The iPhone X got off to a good start and sold 100,000 units in just two days, but after a week sales dwindled to an average of 5,000 a day and are now down to just 2,000-3,000.

On the other hand, Samsung's Galaxy S8 is still going strong with sales of 5,000-6,000 units per day.

"The iPhone X is the most expensive in the series with prices ranging from W1.35 to W1.55 million (US$1=W1,069)," said an industry insider. "The battery scandal Apple was embroiled in recently also had something to do with the poor sales."
