English Premier League
Result: Manchester City 2-2 Crystal Palace
Date: 18 January 202
Venue: Etihad Stadium

Manchester City had a day to forget as a late own goal from Fernandinho condemned the side to a 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace.

Veteran midfielder David Silva made his 300th appearance for the Citizens, while Ilkay Gundogan, Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva returned the line-up.

Roy Hodgson handed a full debut to Everton loanee Cenk Tuson in the attack, as he was joined in the attack by Wilfried Zaha and the in-form Jordan Ayew.

Palace claimed a 3-2 win in this fixture last season, and City weren't looking to repeat as they signalled their intent early on as Kevin de Bruyne rattled the crossbar after 14 minutes.

While City did all the attacking in the early stages, it ws Palace who broke the deadlock on 38 minutes a Tusan marked his first start with a neat header from six-yards out after some good work by Tim Cahill.

The Citizens continued to struggle in the second half, which prompted Pep Guardiola to introduce Gabriel Jesus for Silva just after hour mark.

City were then awarded a penalty on 71 minutes when the ball appeared to hit Riedewald's arm in the box, but after a review from the Video Assistant Referee, the decision was overturned.

The home side were not to be denied with eight minutes remaining as Aguero found the back of the net from close range after being picked out by Jesus.

The turnaround was complete in the 88th minute when Aguero completed his brace by turning home a cross from Benjamin Mendy with a neat header into the far corner.

However, the encounter ended all square as City midfielder Fernandinho turned Zaha's cross into his own net in the second minute of stoppage time, much to the delight of the travelling supporters.
