Leipzig Postpone Bayern's Title
RB Leipzig 2-0 Stuttgart

RB Leipzig delayed Bayern Munich's coronation by at least another week after a 2-0 make an impression on ten-man Stuttgart at Red Bull Arena.

The visitors had a horrible start once they were reduced to ten men in the 14th minute, following the red-card of Naouirou Ahamada, who was simply dismissed for a two-footed challenge.

Leipzig cannot make their numerical advantage count in the first stanza but Amadou Haidara finally broke the deadlock within a minute from the break and Emil Forsberg doubled their lead in the 67th minute and sealed the three points from the penalty spot.

The Red Bulls remain second on the log , seven points behind leaders Bayern with three rounds of matches remaining while Stuttgart are unmoved in 10th.

Julian Nagelsmann's charges will switch their focus to the DFB-Pokal if they visit Werder Bremen in the semi-finals on Friday while Stuttgart will have a two-week off before before resuming their league duties in the home against Augsburg on 7 May.

Borussia Monchengladbach 5-0 Arminia Bielefeld

Borussia Monchengladbach bounced to winning ways within an emphatic fashion after hammering relegation-threatened Arminia Bielefeld 5-0 at Borussia-Park.

The hosts went to the break with a commanding 3-0 lead courtesy of goals from Breel Embolo, Marcus Thuram and Ramy Bensebaini.

Embolo completed his brace in the 69th minute while Alassane Plea rounded off the scoring with the fifth goal for Gladbach within the last six minutes.

Monchengladbach went up to seventh on the log with 46 points while Arminia were left lying precariously in 15th place with 30 points, simply a point above the relegation play-off spot, with three rounds of matches remaining.

Gladbach could have rest for two weeks before resuming league action away to Bayern Munich on 8 May, where in fact the Bavarians could be crowned champions while Arminia may also have a two-week break before visiting Hertha Berlin on Sunday, 9 May.
