Mane Makes Man Utd Admission
09 April, 2020
Although African superstar Sadio Mane is known as among the world's best players at Liverpool, he has made a major admission about Manchester United.
The Senegal international joined the Reds from Southampton in 2016, but was thought to go near a switch to the Red Devils at the time.
Speaking in his Made in Senegal documentary that premiered on 8 April, Mane revealed that he and his representative were weighing up a move to United when Jurgen Klopp came set for his signature.
"Not necessarily," he said when asked if he thought Liverpool will be after him, in line with the Evening Standard.
"We (Mane and his agent) were thinking most about Manchester United.
"That was trouble for me as I was on the bench, so I was not considering anyone calling me, but I was pleased he (Klopp) did."
Since his arrival at Liverpool four years ago, Mane has scored 77 goals and assisted an additional 34 strikes in 161 matches across all competitions.
