It would appear that Lionel Messi, who missed Barcelona's final meet of the season on the weekend, has provided a significant hint over where he'll be playing next period.
The Argentine was given permission to miss the Catalan club's LaLiga clash with Eibar on Saturday, a 1-0 win abroad.
Messi, 33, provides been strongly associated with a move from the Blaugrana, with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain both reported to get potential destinations for him.
In a recently available interview, however, he spoke about the importance of his side's Copa del Rey triumph in April, stating it acted as a "turning level" for the club.
"The simple truth is that the new Copa del Rey was particular because of the period we were in," Messi told Diario Ole.
"The club has truly gone a year or two of not having an enjoyable experience due to different benefits and titles.
"Because it is an extremely young dressing bedroom, with a lot of people, and fresh people, which Copa del Rey for the dressing space was a turning point, and very important."
Various believe these remarks from the six-time Ballon d'Or winner could recommend that he's set to increase his contract with Barcelona, with Sergio Aguero's reported expected arrival at the Camp Nou also potentially a key factor.
The Argentina striker appears destined to sign for the Spanish giants in the coming weeks, after he revealed in March that he would leave Manchester City once his contract with the Premier Group club expires in June.
