Messi 'Reacts Controversially' To Being Subbed

During Paris Saint-Germain's stalemate with AS Monaco in Ligue 1 on the weekend, Lionel Messi was substituted off for the first time this season, prompting a controversial reaction from the Argentina forward.
On Sunday night, PSG failed to win for the first time in this campaign when they came up against Monaco.
While Les Parisiens had won their previous three league fixtures with relative ease, the team from the principality gave them, and particularly Messi, a hard time.

committed a number of fouls on the former Barcelona captain. It was a mistake from Messi that led to Monaco opening the scoring in the 20th minute, the beginning of what would be a difficult night for the four-time UEFA Champions League winner.Four minutes before the game was over, PSG coach Christophe Galtier decided to substitute the 35-year-old off, making it the first time this season Messi did not complete a match.
It is said the forward was not impressed with the decision to take him off, though, looking visibly confused before walking off the pitch.
While not many coaches have been known to substitute the Argentina captain, Galtier made the bold decision to entrust his other superstars to win him the match instead.
This comes just weeks after it was news suggested there was an emerging rift among PSG's attacking trident, with reports suggesting that Neymar feels betrayed by Kylian Mbappe, although they are said to have since buried the hatchet.
