NCsoft's Operating Profit Triples

NCsoft's first-quarter operating profit surged 204 percent on-year to W241.4 billion thanks to the success of its new game "Lineage 2M," and sales jumped 104 percent to W731.1 billion, it said Tuesday (US$1=W1,225).
The multiplayer online game was unveiled in November this past year and made W341.1 billion in sales during the first three months of the year, accounting for 47 percent of total revenues.
It plans to unveil more mobile and PC games this season.
Chief financial officer Yoon Jae-soo said, "Revenues from the U.S., Europe and Japan specifically are growing sharply."
