It was an objective fest at the Parc de Princes on Sunday evening, as Paris Saint-Germain defeated Bordeaux 4-3 in a Ligue 1 clash that saw Neymar sent off.
Thomas Tuchel made four changes aside that lost to Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday, as goalkeeper Sergio Rico, Thilo Kehrer, Edinson Cavani and Juan Bernat were drafted in to the side.
Despite PSG dominating the possession in early stages, it had been Bordeaux who broke the deadlock on 18 minutes as Toma Basic's impressive cross found Hwang Ui-jo, who nodded past Rico.
The hosts weren't behind for too long as Cavani marked his go back to the starting line-up with an objective on 25 minutes after turning home a cross from Angel di Maria.
PSG continued pushing for more goals and went close in the 30th minute minute when Cavani's close-range rattled the frame of the target while Marco Verratti had an effort cleared off the line occasions later.
The Ligue 1 leaders eventually got their reward on the stroke of halftime as Di Maria turned provider once more to choose Marquinhos, who nodded home from close range.
There was plenty of time for the people to restore parity prior to the halftime break as Rico's attempted clearance hit Bordeaux's Pablo and sailed in to the back of the web.
The pendulum swung once again in the next, with PSG taking the lead just after the hour mark through Marquinhos, who completed his brace with close range finish after Cavani's initial strike was saved.
Mbappe eventually got some distance between PSG and Bordeaux with 20 minutes left in the contest after combining with Cavani before calmly slotting home from close range.
Bordeaux did create a nervy finish after Ruben Pardo reduced the deficit in the 83rd minute with a robust strike from distance while Neymar was given his marching orders for picking up a second yellow card minutes later.
However, PSG were able to see off the late push from Bordeaux to secure victory and moved 13 points free from second-place Olympique Marseille.
