Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Giovanni Solinas has been appointed at three-time CAF Confederation Cup winners SC Sfaxien.
Solinas has been a free agent since leaving Saudi Arabian club Al-Adalah FC, whom he took charge of for only eight games in the 2019/20 season, according to Transfermarkt.
The Italian tactician is now back on the African continent after signing a one-year deal with Sfaxien, who finished fifth in the Tunisian Ligue 1 last season.
Statement:
"Club Sportif Sfaxien officially announces the appointment of Italian coach Giovanni Solinas as head coach of the first football team," a statement from the club read.
"The 53-year-old man had full experience both in Maghreb clubs and Golf [sic] clubs. He concluded a joint agreement with the Management of the Club by signing a contract for the duration of one sports season."
