Leandowski and Thomas Muller returned to Hans Flick's line-up after missing the weekend's make an impression on Paderborn because of suspension, due to Mickael Cuisance and Joshua Zirkzee dropped to the bench.

It was a good lively affair from the onset as being both sides showed intent to get an early on goal, although clear-cut chances were hard to come by.

The visitors went agonisingly near breaking the deadlock in the 25th minute as Muller rattled the crossbar, with goalkeeper Jiri Pavlenka well beaten.

Bremen have conceded even more goals to Bayern than other any Bundesliga area, and that record was extended when Lewandowksi broke the deadlock found in the 43rd minute after bringing Jerome Boateng's long ball onto his chest before firing history Pavlenka.

Bayern had the ball in the back of the net once more 10 minutes in to the second half, but Lewandowski was first denied an extraordinary second after appearing flagged offside.

Things did move a bit pear-shaped for the league leaders found in the 79th minute when Alphonso Davies was presented with his marching orders after picking right up his second yellow card.

Davies' sending off did setup a nervy final ten minutes, but the Bavarians could actually hold on because of the heroics of goalkeeper Manuel Neuer who produced a good superb save in the 89th minute Yuya Osaka's header.

Bayern have finally secured their 30th top flight title and eighth successive with two games left to take up.
