Selecao legend Pele, the sole footballer to win 3 FIFA Environment Cups, has given his opinion found on the debate, and picked Ronaldo above Messi.

"Today, the very best player on the globe is Cristiano Ronaldo," Pele told YouTube channel Pilhado.

"I are convinced he's the best, because he's extra consistent, nevertheless, you can't just forget about Messi, of course, but he's not really a striker."

Pele was first also asked who all he thinks will go down as the greatest footballer ever sold, and listed five labels before insisting he was first much better than all of them.

"This is a question that's difficult to answer. We cannot just forget about Zico, Ronaldinho and Ronaldo (Nazario)," he added.
