Pogba Chooses Next Club?
17 August, 2021
Reports suggest that Paul Pogba has made a shock decision regarding his Manchester United future, with the Frenchman having reportedly lined up his next club.
The 28-year-old has a year remaining on his contract with the Red Devils, with several clubs interested in his services.
Pogba is one of the highest-paid players at United, and, while manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants him to stay at the club, he could be contemplating a move in 2022.
With a year remaining on his current deal in England, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner could have the opportunity to leave United for free at the end of next season should he not sign an extension before then.
Before signing Lionel Messi, Paris Saint-Germain seemed favourites for Pogba's signature, but it appears a new club has emerged as favourites to sign the midfielder, who assisted four goals in United's 5-1 win over Leeds United on Saturday.
According to the Daily Star, Pogba has decided he will run his contract down and sign for Real Madrid as a free agent in 2022, news that will not please fans of the 20-time English champions.
It is further claimed that Los Blancos are plotting a massive squad overhaul ahead of the 2022/23 campaign, which could see the Spanish giants move for both Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland, as well as Pogba.
