Pan Pacific has expanded its portfolio of hotels with the opening of two properties in Tokyo, Japan -- the Bellustar Tokyo, a Pan Pacific Hotel and Hotel Groove Shinjuku, a Parkroyal Hotel.

Located on the upper floors of the 48-story Tokyu Kabukicho Tower, the country's first skyscraper designed by a woman, the Bellustar Tokyo, a Pan Pacific Hotel features 97-rooms ranging in size from 41 to 277 square meters, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the cityscape.

The hotel has five penthouse suites, ranging in size from 113 to 277 square meters on the 45th to 47th floors, and an exclusive penthouse lounge available for private meetings, gatherings and afternoon teas. The 538-room Hotel Groove Shinjuku, a Parkroyal Hotel is located in the same building on the 18th to 38th floors. Both hotels offer a variety of F&B outlets and other facilities.

The upper part of the building was inspired by the Buddhist goddess of water and is designed to express the force of water stretching to the sky.

“It is an exciting time for Pan Pacific Hotels Group as we expand our footprint in Japan,” said Marcel NA Holman, Vice President, Operations for Japan, Indonesia and China, Pan Pacific Hotels Group. “The opening of the Bellustar Tokyo, a Pan Pacific Hotel and Hotel Groove Shinjuku, a Parkroyal Hotel will give travelers to the city the newest experience, especially in the Shinjuku district and Tokyu Kabukicho Tower where the two properties are located, boasts a wide variety of exciting entertainment and nightlife options.”

According to the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), revenue in the travel and tourism sector is projected to reach $40.28 billion in 2023.

Since December 2022, 1.37 million visitors have entered Japan, up from about 934,000 in November and 113 times more than the same month in 2021.
