PSG Chief's Ronaldo & Messi Dream Revealed?
25 August, 2021
It has reportedly been revealed that Paris Saint-Germain's president could still look to do the unthinkable by teaming Cristiano Ronaldo up with Lionel Messi before the end of this month.
Although it has already been an incredible transfer window for the French giants, there is still one dream that belongs to president Nasser Al-Khelaifi that, if realised, would take matters to an even greater level.
According to OK Diario, Al-Khelaifi is believed to feel excited about the prospect of bringing Ronaldo to France in order to complete his goal of having him, Messi and Neymar all play together at club level.
This, however, will only be achievable should Kylian Mbappe depart in this transfer window, which is something Al-Khelaifi would reportedly only allow should it be clear that signing the Juventus forward is possible.
Mbappe has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid, while Ronaldo has only a year remaining on his contract in Italy, where he is said to be unhappy.
It is believed that putting Ronaldo, Messi and Neymar together would bring even more attention to the Ligue 1 giants, whose social media following across all platforms has reportedly grown by more than 20 million since the arrival of Barcelona's former captain.
Should landing the Portuguese forward's signature in this window not be possible, PSG will look to hold on to Mbappe for the 2021/22 season, although that will put them at risk of losing him for free next year when his contract expires.
