Report: Man City Preparing £15m Offer For Messi

With Lionel Messi's contract at Barcelona expiring next year, Manchester City is actually reportedly seeking to sign the superstar in January.
After handing in a transfer request following the club's UEFA Champions League exit as a result of Bayern Munich, Messi opted to stay another season at the Camp Nou.
The Argentine could still finish up leaving Barcelona as his contract concludes in 2021, although the club is reportedly seeking to extend.
According to the Daily Star, the Citizens will now consider making a move for the six-time Ballon d'Or in the upcoming January transfer.
It is believed Pep Guardiola's side are favorites to sign Messi if he does opt to leave however the report claims they might only offer cash-strapped Barcelona £15million.
It remains to be observed if the Catalan giants would accept any offer in the January transfer window because they could lose him free of charge when the season ends.
City's Football Operations Manager, Omar Berrarda, recently revealed the club can handle the Argentine's finances.
