Ronaldo Nazario's Ultimate Teammates XI Revealed
29 April, 2020
Widely regarded as one of the biggest strikers ever, Ronaldo Nazario played for a few of the world's biggest clubs and alongside among the best players in the overall game, including two Ballon d'Or winners!
Apart from his exploits with Brazil, with whom he reached two consecutive FIFA World Cup finals and won the trophy in 2002, Ronaldo is arguably most widely known for his time at Real Madrid, where his performances earned him another Ballon d'Or crown.
It thus comes as no real surprise that the majority of his most frequent teammates result from his time at Los Blancos, including a defensive unit made up Iker Casillas in goal, and Michel Salgado, Ivan Helguera, Cristian Pavon and Roberto Carlos in a back four.
Among those, Carlos was the player who partnered Ronaldo the most, with the marauding left-back teaming up with the Brazil legend on no less than 260 occasions across spells at Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Corinthians and the Selecao.
At the heart of the park, former Inter captain Javier Zanetti occupies a defensive role behind a midfield quartet including David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane, Guti and Luis Figo, the latter of whom may be the only other player to have played alongside Ronaldo for several team.
Considering that "El Fenomeno" was usually the tip of the spear throughout his career, few strikers enjoyed notable time alongside him in attack, meaning former Real skipper Raul Gonzalez casts a lonely figure as the only real striker in the line-up.
