Senegal 2-0 Togo
Senegal made a positive start to their World Cup qualifying campaign after defeating Togo 2-0 on Wednesday evening.
Sadio Mane put the Lions of Teranga ahead on 56 minutes before Abdou Diallo sealed the result with nine minutes left on the clock.
Central African Republic 1-1 Cape Verde
Central African Republic and Cape Verde began their qualifying campaign with a point a piece on Wednesday.
Júlio Tavares handed the visitors the lead on 36 minutes but Tresor Toropite's 53rd minute equaliser was enough to secure the point.
Guinea-Bissau 1-1 Guinea
Joseph Mendes cancelled out Francois Kamano's opener for Guinea as Guinea-Bissau opened their campaign with a point on home soil.
Mali 1-0 Rwanda
Mali got off to a winning start in Group E after defeating Rwanda 1-0 at the Stade d'Agadir.
Adama Traore was the hero on the day after netting the game's only goal after just 19 minutes.
Egypt 1-0 Angola
Egypt started their qualifying campaign with a narrow victory over Angola.
The Pharaohs were without Mohamed Salah and Mohamed Elneny due to the strict Covid-19 restrictions in the United Kingdom.
However, they still got the job done thanks to Mohamed Magdy's fifth minute penalty.
Libya 2-1 Gabon
Libya showed great character to come from behind to secure a 2-1 win over Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's Gabon.
Andre Biyogo Poko put the visitors ahead with their first qualifying of the campaign after 11 minutes.
Ali Salama brough the home side level in the 28th minute, before Sanad Al Warfali got the winning goal in the 89th minute to put Libya top of Group F.
