Tau's Brighton Silence Leeds In Survival Push
Brighton and Hove Albion moved 10 points free from the relegation zone with a 2-0 make an impression on Leeds United on Saturday evening.

Percy Tau was left out of the Brighton squad once more, along with his last appearing coming against Leeds at Ellan Road in January.

The hosts got the opening goal after 14 minutes when Pascal Gross converted from the penalty spot after Danny Welbeck was brought down by Ezgjan Alioski in the box,

Leeds practically brought themselves after 29 minutes as Jack Harrison found the ball on the edge of the box before volleying the ball inches wide of the upright.

It had been a lively affair in the opening half, with both sides seeing their fair share of the ball however the hosts must have equalised prior to the break when Leandro Trossard blazed over before an open net.

Marcelo Bielsa's men came out searching for a goal in the next half but were almost caught on the counter but Welbeck's shot lacked the power after rounding the goalkeeper.

The visitors threw on club-record signing Rodrigo on the hour mark, before Diego Llorente made method for Pablo Hernandez in the ultimate 15 minutes.

However, Leeds were released of their misery on 79 minutes when Welbeck got his goal with a neat piece skill before firing in to the far corner.
