True romance: Furne One's Amato closes Arab Fashion Week in style

Arab Fashion Week rounded up last night, ending on a higher note with a show by Dubai favourite, Amato.
In a crowd satisfying collection, that'll be snapped up by the designer's legions of loyal customers, frothy gowns were covered in acres of sensitive handy do the job, with embroidery, beading and painstakingly positioned lace parts taking centre stage.
Soft and romantic, this is signature Amato and the feminine mentality the brand is indeed well known for.
There were a few unexpected twists, however. Perhaps most obviously was a trouser suit with huge slice trousers and laced corset-design bodice, topped with a lace bomber jacket that was chic and directional, while a tulle gown in palest eau de nil was included with a high Mandarin collar, that elongated the neck.
Best of all was first the trio of intricately tiered gowns found in delicate ombres of smokey greys, lilacs and blues which were beautiful to behold, and proved yet again as to why this label is indeed popular. Understanding what his customers want, developer Furne One never does not deliver.
The simply duff note of the show had not been the clothes, however the make-up, that felt cheap in comparison and distracted from the dreamy fashion. In addition to that one tiny misstep, the legions of Amato enthusiasts will be delighted, specifically as with the brand new Arab Style Week digital format, many pieces are already available to buy.
