Each year, Emirates makes a lot more than 110 million meals to serve to passengers in the sky.

And, with most of the Dubai airline's flights on hold for as soon as, chefs at Emirates have already been keeping themselves busy compiling a few of their favourite in-flight recipes for individuals to attempt to recreate at home.

Saud Al Matrooshi, the first Emirati chef at Emirates, has shared some of the Arabic fare typically served by Emirates at 38,000 feet in a new YouTube video.

If you are looking for something to keep you busy in your kitchen as long as you're staying home during the coronavirus pandemic, the chef has lots of recipes for viewers to try.

Far from the easy chicken or beef choice typically offered on flights, the Emirati chef talks viewers through nine different recipes.

Expect dishes such as prawn machboos, lamb kofta, chicken bzar, fish salounah and a classic Arabic mezze.

Each of the recipes are extracted from Emirates's repertoire greater than 12,450 international dishes that are typically served on flights over the airline's network.
