Australia's Nine network hit by suspected cyber assault: Source

Australian broadcaster Nine Entertainment was struggling to air its Sunday (Mar 28) news bulletin from its Sydney headquarters because of "technical difficulties" which a source with understanding of the matter blamed over a suspected cyber attack.
Nine's Weekend Today express which runs from 7am to 1pm didn't head to air. In a statement, Channel Nine said it had been "responding to technical issues" affecting its live broadcasting.
"At this stage we're working through the impacts and can provide updates due to we resolve the systems."
The network, which owns the Sydney Morning hours Herald (SMH) and THIS newspapers, didn't confirm the cyber attack. However the source who did certainly not want to be determined as he had not been allowed to speak to media said Nine supervision had informed staff members a "malicious" cyber strike was suspected.
Nine is now looking to get a news bulletin out through Melbourne "utilizing a server that was not compromised", the foundation told Reuters.
