Bale Forced To Change Shirt Number On Real Return
Gareth Bale returned to action for Real Madrid this week, but he was forced to wear a new number ahead of the new season.

The Welshman made his first appearance in a Los Blancos shirt since the end of the 2019/2020 campaign after he spent last season on loan at Tottenham Hotspur.

Bale started and played just 46 minutes against AC Milan, but he also had a penalty saved just before the break.

Carlo Ancelotti is set to use the 32-year-old this campaign but he is now expected to wear a different number after his number 11 was given to Marco Asensio last term.

Bale wore the number 50 jersey on his return to action for the Spanish giants on Sunday, but it remains to be seen if he will wear that number when the LaLiga season gets underway next weekend.

Los Blancos open their LaLiga campaign with a trip to Mendizorrotza Stadium to lock horns with Deportivo Alaves on Saturday evening.
