With it often being claimed that Lionel Messi is involved in FC Barcelona's transfer decisions, a former Blaugrana director has reportedly revealed which superstar the Argentine wanted the club to sign.
Former Barcelona director Javier Bordas seemingly quite a number of the club's secrets during a recent interview with COPE and Radio MARCA, including how close they found signing Kylian Mbappe.
Bordas also exposed Messi's situation in the club, with the Blaugrana captain wanting to keep the Camp Nou found in the newest transfer window.
"The continuity of Messi is determined by how he sees the workforce," he said.
"If he sees they are capable of winning trophies, he'll want to remain, he is definitely respectful with all his decisions."
He also claimed that Paris Saint-Germain's Neymar is the only person Messi has asked the plank to sign, with it being zero magic formula that the Argentine wants the Brazilian rear at the club.
"If he (Messi) asked for signings, he desired Neymar," Bordas added.
Neymar came near to time for the Camp Nou found in 2019, and was again associated with a transfer back to the Catalan giants this season.
Even so, he stayed in Paris over both occasions, and now seems set to sign a fresh contract with the Ligue 1 giants.
