First Country To Qualify For Afcon Confirmed

Senegal became the first nation to qualify for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations after defeating Guinea-Bissau 1-0 on Sunday.

Sadio Mane's strike in the 82nd minute was enough to seal a fourth successive win in Group I and a spot at next year's tournament for Senegalese.

Guinea-Bissau, who finished the game with 10 men after Bura's sending off, sit third in the group with three points from four games.

Burundi 3-1 Mauritania
Burundi got their first win in Group E after defeating Mauritania 3-1 on Sunday afternoon.

A brace from Saidi Ntibazonkiza and a solitary strike from Youssouf Ndayishimiye guided the hosts to victory, which sees them sit third in the group.

Chad 1-1 Guinea
Chad remain winless in Group A after playing to a 1-1 draw with Guinea on Sunday evening.

Liverpool's Naby Keita opened the scoring for the visitors in the 24th minute, but the hosts had been level on the stroke of halftime through Ahmat Abdaramman.

Chad finished the overall game with 10 men when Eric Mbangossoum was first sent off in the 89th minute for another yellow card.
