How Much Man Utd Made In CR7 Shirt Sales Revealed?
Manchester United have reportedly made millions after releasing shirts with Cristiano Ronaldo's name and iconic No. 7 on them. Here are the reported figures.

According to Fox Sports, the 20-time English champions sold an incredible number of shirts bearing Ronaldo's name after it was announced he would be taking the No. 7 jersey.

Last week, the Red Devils revealed that veteran striker Edinson Cavani had no issues handing the Portuguese superstar his iconic number back, one that he previously donned at United between 2003 and 2009.

Per Fox Sports, United sold almost £33 million (R651 million) worth of Ronaldo shirt merchandise in the 12 hours after they were released, with just under 300 000 shirts purchased in that time frame.

It is claimed the English giants pocket 10% of shirt sales per their contractual agreement with adidas, which means £3.3 million (R65 million) would have been made by the club in this case.

When will Ronaldo make his second United debut?

The former Real Madrid and Juventus forward is already said to have returned to Manchester, after scoring twice for Portugal in their 2-1 win over Ireland in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier last week.

Ronaldo, 36, is expected to make his second debut for the English club in their Premier League clash against Steve Bruce's Newcastle United this coming weekend.
